Shelley Gregory
President and Chief Executive Officer
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Shelley oversees the company’s day-to-day operations, long-term strategic planning, media campaigns and client relations. She broke into the advertising industry in 1986 joining a small ad agency where she was an account supervisor, primarily responsible for business development. In 1987 she was hired by the local CBS affiliate as a regional / local account executive again responsible for business development. In 1995, Shelley was hired by UPN as the general sales manager but soon after joined the ABC affiliate (owned by Pulitzer ) as the local sales manager. She directed the account executives, oversaw inventory management as well as special projects. It was in 2000 Shelley formed the ad agency Media Matched. She created the company as a niche ad agency specializing in media buying and ad placement. Her fields of expertise include television, radio, print, outdoor, online and production. She has earned the reputation as one of the leading buyers in the Albuquerque market. She has expanded her business into Arizona and California as well. Shelley holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising & marketing, minor in journalism from Kent State University.
John Gregory
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
As Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, John is responsible for all financial operations, business strategies, information technology and new client development. John is also involved in the creative planning and production. It was with Marriott International that John cut his teeth in hotel sales and operations in 1985. He started in food and beverage operations, worked his way to hotel sales and event management.
In 1996, John opened the Marina Beach Marriott in Marina Del Rey, California as a Director of Event Management propelling that hotel to a featured hotel for Marriott International. Working with other leadership team members, John’s sales teams won numerous sales and customer satisfaction awards. He returned to the Albuquerque Marriott 1998 as the Director of Event Management and ultimately left Marriott International as an Executive Committee Member in 2001. John partnered with his wife, Shelley, and Media Matched in 2001 concentrating on the financial and billing aspects of the business. He has utilized his operational experience as well as his sales background to enhance the overall business performance for many of our clients.
Anthony Jio
Managing Director-Client Services
Anthony is well rounded in developing media campaigns, creative planning, production, and developing new client relationships.
Anthony started his career in Hotel and Restaurant management with the Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa, considered one of the top 100 hotel resorts in the world. It is with Hyatt that he learned the value of delivering exceptional customer service. With his experience in customer service and business management he accepted an account executive position at Hearst owned ABC affiliate KOAT in Albuquerque, NM.
In 2011 Anthony joined Media Matched. Currently Anthony is serving on the board of the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair as Advertising Chairman. Anthony holds a bachelors degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and Marketing from The University of New Mexico.
Angelique Carrisal
Art Director
Angelique comes from what she likes to call “The Dirty Southwest”. Upon her high school graduation, Angelique completed her first summer internship at a prestigious Graphic Design company in El Paso where she gained plenty of technical and business experience. She then went to Los Angeles to receive her A.A. in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she added to her resume by being an intern for the school’s publications department.
Realizing she still wanted to learn more, Angelique attended New Mexico State University to get her B.C.M. in Animation and Visual Effects in their Creative Media Institute. There, she connected with many talented film makers who gave her the opportunity to also gain knowledge on set and in post production.
While Angelique is an individual with many talents such as video editing, locations managing on film sets, logo design, social media and more, her main focus lies in Key Art and Motion Graphics.
Joe Weber
Graphic Designer
Joe is a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer specializing in Print Design and Branding. His path to design came through a blend of metal music, architecture, and skateboarding. Today his pursuit of creative development continues, passionate about helping businesses find creative solutions to difficult problems.
Graduating in 2009 from New Mexico Highlands University with a B.F.A in Media Arts & Technology w/ emphasis in Graphic Design and a brief diversion into graduate school, Joe has equipped himself with expertise in Film & Video, Photographic Imaging, Visual Communication, Typography, Motion Graphics, Interactivity & Multimedia, and Web Design.
Also, he rarely refers to himself in the third person.
Stephanie Shirey
Executive Administrative Assistant and Photographer
Stephanie manages client’s media budgets and oversees all print buying and placement. Stephanie places print ads on a weekly basis throughout the state of New Mexico in a wide variety of publications. She has been in integral part of Media Matched for 10 years.
Flynn and Bailey
Office Interns
Flynn and Bailey Gregory are the newest additions to Media Matched. They are still learning how to steep the perfect cup of tea and take proper restroom breaks.
Gracey Gregory
Office Guardian Angel
Our beloved Gracey left us in January 2016. Not a day goes by that she isn’t missed.
